THE 2022 POLICE CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2022 championship is now closed and what a week it was!

As predicted Halifax delivered on many levels, from good curling, good food, good friends and of course good laughs.

Congratulations to Team Hockley who were able to defend their Team Canada title against a strong field of competitors this year.

We were treated to some great curling!

On behalf of the National Executive we would like to congratulate and thank co-hosts Joe Taplin & Jeremy Tipper on an amazing championship. We all know the long hours and hard work required to make these events happen and we truly appreciate your dedication to making this event special for all attending.

WELCOME TO THE 2022 POLICE CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Congratulations to all Provincial Champions, we are excited to have you join us in Halifax!

The 2022 Canadian Championship will be hosted from April 1st to April 10th in Halifax Nova Scotia.

Curlers, family & friends,

On behalf of this year’s host committee I would like to welcome you all to our amazing city of Halifax, Province of Nova Scotia and the Mayflower Curling club.

After being away for two years from our National Championship due to COVID, I know many are excited to get back together again for some great curling, social events and mostly seeing some old friends and new ones.  This has been some very trying times for first responders over the past two years, but we were always there to answer the call and for that so many in the public we serve are thankful.

We have worked very hard to have new sponsors and events included in this year’s championships.   Our title sponsor The National Police Federation will host this years Awards banquet which will be hosted at our choice hotel the Atlantica in downtown Halifax. The opening stone is being hosted by Labatt’s at the Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery on Lower Water street in the historical brew house   The closing stone is a Maritime kitchen party which will feature Seafood chowder, ale braised local mussels, mini donair, fish and chips, plus live entertainment.  There are many events still be planned and most nights at the hospitality suite there is also live entertainment from 9-1130pm from some amazing local musicians.

Our charity of choice remains Tourette Canada, and a huge thank you to all the sponsors that have come out to assist us in this event to ensure it is one of the best championships to date.  As we continue to move forward we will be updating our sponsor page and keeping you all appraised of events that will be taking place.  This year we are also so proud to partner with Cracked Armour and Mark Long who has been selling clothing to help emergency responders who suffer from PTSD and open a Canadian facility here in Nova Scotia so they can seek help.  Mark will be at this year’s events selling Crack Armour clothing.

Without the generous support of all our sponsors this event would be very difficult to host and for that we will be forever grateful.

Travel safe everyone and hoping to see everyone on April1, 2022 at the Atlantica Hotel.

Slàinte mhor a h-uile là a chi 's nach fhaic  (Great health to you every day I see you and every day I don't)
